After another outstanding performance, this time against Auburn, Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green has hauled in another award recognizing his stellar play.

Green, a native of Summerville, S.C., has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week after catching a team-high five passes for 81 yards and the game-winning touchdown against the Tigers Saturday. 

Green, a 6-foot-4, 190-pounder, leads the SEC with 51 catches for 887 yards (80.6 yards per game) and seven touchdowns.

He is also only 113 yards away from becoming only the second Georgia receiver in history to have 1,000 receiving yards in one season.

Here are the other awards and performances recognized by the SEC:

 

SEC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PERCY HARVIN
Wide Receiver / Running Back, FLORIDA
5-11 • 195 • Junior
Virginia Beach, Va. (Landstown HS)  

• Harvin rushed for a career-high 167 yards, scoring a career-tying two rushing rushing touchdowns, in Florida’s 56-6 win over South Carolina.  

• Harvin’s 167 yards rushing against the Gamecocks are the most by any wide receiver in the nation this year against a Top 25 team.  

• He has scored a touchdown in the past 12 games he has played in, tying for a national -best.  

• One of his rushing TDs against USC was a career-long 80-yard rush.  

• He leads the nation in yards per carry (9.2 / min. 5 carries per game).    

 

SEC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
D.J. MOORE
Cornerback, VANDERBILT
5-10 • 180 • Junior
Spartanburg, S.C. (Broome HS)  

• Moore contributed four tackles and two key interceptions in Vanderbilt’s 31-24 victory at Kentucky that moved Commodores into bowl eligibility for the first time in 26 years.  

• On offense, he caught two TD passes, which gave Vandy a 14-0 lead.  The receptions were the first of Moore’s career. He added a third catch later in the game.  

• Moore’s first interception set up Vanderbilt’s third touchdown; his second pick sealed the Commodore victory with 2:07 left in the game.  

• Moore now has six interceptions on the season, sharing the SEC and NCAA lead .  He tops all active SEC players with 13 career interceptions.    

 

SEC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAVIER ARENAS
Defensive Back/Return Specialist, ALABAMA

East Point, Ga. (Tri-Cities HS)  

• Arenas returned six punts for 153 total yards, including an 80-yarder for a touchdown in Alabama’s 32-7 win against Mississippi State.  

• The 153 punt return yards is an Alabama single-game record that bettered the 147 yards Arenas had against Tulane earlier this year.  

• Against State, Arenas also had a 46-yard punt return that gave the Tide possession at the MSU 2-yard line.  

• Arenas now has the Alabama career punt return yardage record with 1,146 yards.  

• He also has five career punt returns for touchdowns, a school record.

Tackle, OLE MISS

Memphis, Tenn. (Briarcrest Christian HS)  

• Oher graded out at 82 percent with one knockdown block and eight finishes in Ole Miss’ 59-0 win against Louisiana-Monroe.  

• The Rebels gained 520 total offensive yards, including 350 yards rushing against the Warhawks.   

• In 65 offensive plays, the Rebels only had two lost yardage plays totaling four yards with no sacks.  

• Ole Miss scored on nine of 13 offensive drives against ULM and converted 8 of 12 on third downs.

 

SEC DEFENSIVE LINEMAN OF THE WEEK
JERMAINE CUNNINGHAM
Defensive End, FLORIDA
6-3 • 250 • Junior
Stone Mountain, Ga. (Stephenson HS)  

• Cunningham had a game-high eight total tackles, including two for losses (-5 yards) in Florida’s 56-6 win against South Carolina.  

• He also had a forced fumble and a pass deflection and registered a half-sack (-2 yards).  

• The Gator defense limited Carolina to only 53 yards rushing and did not allow USC to get into Florida territory until just over 11 minutes left in the second quarter.  

• The Gators held USC to three-and-out on eight possessions.    

 

OTHER OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES FROM WEEK 12 
MLB ROLANDO McCLAIN (Alabama) -- Had team-high 11 total tackles (6 solos) with two sacks (-12 yards) and a pass deflection against Mississippi State.  

QB KODI BURNS (Auburn) -- Completed 16-of-30 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown and also had 28 yards rushing against Georgia.  

SAFTY AHMAD BLACK (Florida) -- Had four tackles with an interception and a pass deflection against South Carolina.  

RB KNOWSHON MORENO (Georgia) -- Rushed for 131 yards on 22 carries and caught four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown against Auburn.  

LB MICAH JOHNSON (Kentucky) -- Compiled game-high 12 total tackles (8 solos) with two quarterback pressures against Vanderbilt.  

QB JARRETT LEE (LSU) -- Completed 20-of-34 passes for 216 yards with a touchdown and an interception against Troy.

RB CORDERA EASON (Ole Miss) -- Rushed for 106 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown against Louisiana-Monroe.  

MLB DOMINIC DOUGLAS (Mississippi State) -- Registered team-best 11 total tackles (5 solos) against Alabama.  

LB ERIC NORWOOD (South Carolina) -- Logged four total tackles, including two sacks (-11 yards) against Florida.  

QB CHRIS NICKSON (Vanderbilt) -- Completed 15-of-27 passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for game-high 118 yards on 20 carries against Kentucky.
